Ucoach! New skills to empower handicapped (physical and/or mental) people to become more autonomous

U-Coach! was a co-financed Knowledge Transfer Program (Leonardo Da Vinci) under the European Lifelong Learning Program, which aims to develop new skills and the self-sufficiency of people with disabilities. Organizations from Greece, Austria, England, Sweden and Portugal collaborated to implement the program.

U-Coach! was designed to enhance autonomy and self-directed learning for people with disabilities, thereby increasing their level of functionality and aiming at “a life without obstacles”. This program leverages innovative methodologies to equip trainers, mentors and care givers with special needs with the necessary coaching tools and application of autonomous learning skills, reinforcing the important role of adult education.
