Objectives

The necessity of the proposed project stems from the challenges faced by the young population of Northern Greece (lack of access to information about the EU and European issues), as well as the opportunities offered through the active participation of young people in democratic processes and the strengthening of cooperation between them and the CSOs. The aim – object of the project is to enhance awareness and understanding of the values of the European Union among local youth in Northern Greece.

Project Results

  1. Training and establishment of a Regional Youth Council consisting of 20 young people from the 5 participating municipalities on EU values and their participation in democratic processes.
  2. Organization of 5 Infodays and production of 5 interactive information videos for citizens to inform them about EU values and rights.
  3. Encourage cooperation and networking between CSOs and youth, promoting their participation in joint actions
  4. An online networking action with OCYPs from other EU Member States to exchange best practice knowledge and know-how and to create a handbook of good practices for the participation of young people and the dissemination of European values.
